Honda ropes in Kapil Sharma to play salesman for their new commercial

The second one in a series of ads for Honda cars, the veteran comedian Kapil Sharma takes on the roll of a cheeky salesman. The ad uses head-on, tongue-in-cheek humour with bold political references. The script is crisp, funny and weaves in just the right amount of branded content.

It’s not a campaign that’s worthy of a Cannes nor is the idea exceptional. Nonetheless, what I absolutely love is that the commercial manages to sell the car well with a different approach, which is relevant to the Indian audiences. Kapil Sharma’s popularity amongst the target audience helps the commercial gain a higher recall value too.
