Stop Webcam Child Sex Abuse – A 10 year old child catches them all

#AnAdvertADay #Day34

There’s a new form of child exploitation that is spreading like an epidemic. Men from rich countries pay children in poor countries to perform sexual acts in front of webcams. This crime is called Webcam Child Sex Tourism (WCST).

WCST happens tens of thousands of times a day, but prior to this campaign, only 6 men had ever been convicted of the crime. Terres Des Hommes, an organisation for child welfare, along with an Amsterdam based ad agency, Lemz, developed a 3-D model that looked and moved like a 10-year-old Filipino girl and called her “Sweetie.” With Sweetie, Lemz went on public chat rooms and interacted with over 20,000 predators. They gathered incriminating evidence and information about them.

In two months, 1,000 predators from 71 countries were caught in the act and identified. Governments were urged to act after the world witnessed Lemz handing over the short movie , research findings, and the 1,000 names to Interpol.

With the effectiveness of this campaign coupled with the cause, this seems to be a hot favourite for the Cannes this year.
